Christopher Brimble also elected unopposed as RSAW president

RIBA has officially named the four candidates running to be the institute’s next president. 

BakerBrown Studio founder Duncan Baker-Brown, Buttress Architects director Chithra Marsh, Bell Phillips Architects director Jay Morton and academic Austin Williams will all be vying for the two-year job in an election this summer.

Meanwhile, Arden Kitt Associates principal and director Christopher Brimble has been elected unopposed as the next president of the Royal Society of Architects in Wales.

Cardiff-based Brimble has been acting as the Wales representative on the RIBA council and chair of RIBA’s expert advisory group on procurement.

RIBA has also announced the candidates standing for seats on the RIBA Council, an elected body drawn from the institute’s membership and chaired by the RIBA president.

Timothy Onyenobi has been elected unopposed to a national seat on the council, while seven candidates will compete for six regional RIBA London seats.

Alexandra Carausu and John Wilde have both been elected unopposed to the RIBA East and RIBA South West regional seats respectively.
